Talk of the Turnstile – May 16th

Welcome to another edition of Talk of the Turnstile, bringing a weekly round up of all things football and SoccerStarz!

And so Manchester City made sure that the Premier League trophy remained in Manchester. Goals courtesy of Samir Nasri and Captain Vincent Kompany led City to their second title in three years. The miracle for Liverpool didn’t materialise, and they even found themselves a goal down to Newcastle at one point before Daniel Agger and Daniel Sturridge scored to make it 2-1 and that is how it stayed.

At the other end Norwich joined already relegated Fulham and Cardiff in the Championship next season following their defeat to Arsenal. It was a tall task before the start of the day as they needed to win by a huge amount to overhaul Sunderland.

The La Liga title will come down to the final day as Atletico face Barcelona at the Nou Camp, anything but a win for Barca will see Atletico win the trophy.
