Talk of the Turnstile – Issue 15

Welcome to Talk of the Turnstile, issue 15.

I bring you a special double edition of ToT this week due to the SoccerStarz Van going out on the road in London last Friday. So instead of releasing one mid week I wanted to wait so we can show you some of the places the Van got to. I’m sure you’ll recognize the majority of them.

So I’ll begin with the van’s trip to London with our first stop the home of English football, Wembley Stadium

The van soon arrived at Buckingham Palace,

Then we stopped off at Abbey Road made famous by the Beatles,

Before going to see the Millennium Eye, in the day……

And then the evening.

The van is sure to stop at many more destinations so keep an eye out!

Premier League action from last week saw Chelsea stay four points clear as only Southampton kept touching distance with the Blues. Manchester City could only manage a draw with struggling QPR, Arsenal lost to Swansea and Manchester United squeezed past Crystal Palace thanks to a goal from Juan Mata. Burnley gain their first win at the 11th time of asking but remain bottom, meaning the relegation positions are currently situated by all the newly promoted teams.

International Break this weekend!

As we enter yet another international break, home nations Rep of Ireland come face to face with Scotland in the Euro 2016 qualifiers. Both have realistic hopes of qualifying for the finals in France. Ireland drew with Germany last time out, whilst Scotland managed to win a point away in Poland.

England will go head-to-head with Slovenia in a 5 o clock kick off at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

The SoccerStarz Premiership standings

Week 11

Lunatic Attack Force stay top as Dangarys Corinthians sit just two points behind and New York Yankees a further four from second.

As many of you may have seen, one of our SoccerStarz fans witnessed a minutes silence with his SoccerStarz figures last weekend. Charlie, remembered those that gave their lives for us and we shall never forget the sacrifice they made.
