Talk of the Turnstile – Issue 13

Welcome to issue 13 of Talk of the Turnstile

The day is here to unveiled the SoccerStarz Van.

Welcome to another edition of Talk of the Turnstile, the place where I discuss recent goings-on in the world of football and of course SoccerStarz.

So today is the day the SoccerStarz Van makes its first appearance at the National Football Museum. Starting at 10am and running until 2pm, you can come and see the van in all its glory and if you arrive earlier enough you could be lucky enough to receive a free football plus+ ticket. We will post plenty of pictures for those of you that cannot be there in the coming days. Also if you guys manage to take any pictures make sure you tweet them to us @ctcSoccerStarz and we will retweet as many as possible.

Was Balotelli swapping his shirt at halftime so bad?

The Balotelli swapping shirt incident has been the big news this week and has more than papered over the fact that Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-0 with all the goals coming in the first half. The incident has been met with outrage in some quarters, non more so than the Liverpool Echo where they demanded that an apology was given to all Liverpool fans. I don’t seem to remember that when Suarez bit someone? In my opinion it has been made into a much bigger deal than its worth. Those calling for Balotelli to leave, well he has played just eight games. Need I remind the starts Bergkamp and Henry had at Arsenal, yet they became club legends.

El Clasico

Today is the first El Clasico of the 2014/15 season and it will also be Luis Suarez’s competitive debut. What a game for him to make his official bow. Gareth Bale will be absent from the fixture, but it is still set up to be a massive game. We’re sure there will be goals galore in this one.

SoccerStarz Premiership.
