Round Up – 28th October


Spain – El Clasico saw Barcelona defeat Real Madrid 2-1. Neymar opened the scoring both Alexis Sanchez scored a sublime chip to make it 2-0 with around 10 minutes remaining. Jese did pull one back, but it was too late.

Germany – Bayern remained top of the Bundesliga despite going behind at home against Hertha Berlin. Borussia Dortmund and Leverkusen both kept up the pace with the league leaders.

Italy – AS Roma won, again, to make it nine wins out of nine. Both Juventus and Napoli sit five points behind the league leaders.

France – PSG failed to beat St Etienne, which allowed AS Monaco to draw level on points at the top of Ligue 1.

England – Arsenal are still the team to beat in the Premier League, following another win. Chelsea, thanks to a major error by Joe Hart, beat Manchester City 2-1, whilst neighbours Manchester United, came back, twice, to win 3-2 over an impressive Stoke side. Suarez scored a hat-trick, with Sturridge getting the other as Liverpool beat West Brom 4-1.

Brazil – Cruzeiro returned to winning ways, after defeating Circiuma 5-3. They are 12 points clear in the Brazilian Serie A

Japan – Yokohama F Marinos remain top after a 1-0 win over bottom club Oita Trinita. Urawa Red’s stay two points behind, with Sanfreece Hiroshima a further point back.
