About Our Feature Editor – Dominic Hanley

A brief introduction to our Feature Editor, Dominic Hanley.

A Marketing Graduate, Dominic is a major football fan and loves nothing more than to write about football, a great way to vent his views!!

He is 23 years old and has been writing about football for close to four – five years now. He originally began a blog with two friends, Serious about Soccer, before creating his own, The Football DOMain.

Following this, he begun writing regularly for the GiveMeSport Academy. The Academy is made up of seven levels, Dominic is currently level 4 – a Senior Contributor. He has written well over 50 articles for the site, with his most viewed article gaining just short of 20,000 views.

A lover of football from around the globe, his main areas of interest in football in terms of leagues is, the English Premier League, German Bundesliga and the J.League. He is also a big fan of Asian football, and in particular the Asian Champions League (AFC). He states that he has gained the knowledge that he has thanks to reading about football at an early age, namely Match and Shoot Magazines, and the continuous hours he has put into Championship Manager and Football Manager games. He subscribes to the World Soccer Magazine also.

Outside of writing about football, Dom, is an FA Level 1 Coach, he dedicates his time to coaching a step 10 side in the English Football Ladder and player/manages a Sunday League side.

He says of the NEWZ site, that he hopes to encourage more and more viewers to contribute their comments and thoughts, and he admits that he is “always up for a good football debate”.
